New Developments with IKE

So, we're gonna get hit.....hard. I did some more walmart shopping at 5am today....kinda beat the rush I think. I filled up my gas tank, bought a bunch more non perishable foods, drinking water, some batteries, and of course I had to throw in a bit of junk food. Forecasts now show that this storm will make landfall between 1 and 3 am Saturday morning, and the worst should be over by about noon......but that doesn't mean that we'll have power! Since there are three houses in our cul-de-sac being built right now, I'm gonna try calling the builder to see what their plan is to get rid of some of the debris in the immediate area. Sounds like we might board up the front of the house (thats what would be most at risk with all the debris). If there is no plywood left at the stores I know where I can get some....and its free delivery! hahaha. There was just a press conference on TV where the Judge of the County has put in place some mandatory evacuations for some parts of our county (just those that will be affected by the water surge). Not sure yet if our company is still gonna make the trip out. They're supposed to leave tonight....I'll talk to them when they get to work. I'm beginning to see a trend......when people have trips booked here, they have to cancel....be on the look out Darin!! You're next!!
