Day Off

Didn't know what to do today so we went to Havre, Montana.  Bet you guys all remember our trip to Disneyland and not being able to cross the border.  Thought we were going to have a repeat.  We just don't have any luck at this Wild Horse Crossing.  Started by the Border Patrol coming out telling your father to back-up and move over so he could breath....good grief, for real?  Dad backs up and moves about 2 inches.  Ah, he's satisfied!  No such luck.  Then he gives Dad heck for proceeding from the stop sign before he signalled for him to advance. Ya, so Dad is trying to tell him the sign says,"Stop and proceed when the car ahead is released".  Well, there is NO CAR, so we move ahead.  It's about this time I give Dad the Passports and accidentally tap him on the arm to shut-up.  I think there's a secret message on the passport to purposely antaganize your Dad.   Havre was good.  Picked up the necessities of Peanut Butter and Beer.  Won enough bucks to pay for our trip and head back home.  Gotta cross the border again.  Canadian side this time.  We are good, but are held up by this Jeep with chairs and boxes tied to the roof which unfortunately is two vehicles in front of us. Dad thought it was a sequel to The Beverly Hillbillies. Can you believe we waited over an hour at a border which probably only has 20 vehicles go by in a day.  Watched the line up behind us grow back to the American Border.  It's OK though, Dad made sure we were ahead of the gate.  Whew!  We are now back in The Hat.  Excitement over until the next time.
