Holidays

Firstly Dad wants to thank you all for the Father's Day Wishes. Lori, Dad also likes his doorknob/lock. Not sure which door it's going on yet, but that was such a wonderful idea. Seems strange since we used to go camping on Father's Day. Anyways I was on holidays and we ended up at Buffalo Pound. Kim and Bill did come out. They left Addyson with us. Had a lot of fun with her. Kids are so funny. For those of you who remember, Buffalo Pound is in a valley with B.P. Lake running alongside it. Huge hills....told Addy if she was bigger we would hike up one. Of course one question leads to another. WHY? Let the munchkin know I wasn't sure about the cactus' and didn't want to get jabbed by the needles and end up with prickles. Good answer Grandma. Next time we're hiking she informs me when she's bigger we will go up the huge hills cause this time we don't want the "porcupines" to give us any prickles. She's so funny! Observant she is. Commented on how quiet it is here Grandma. Got to ride her Dora Trike, go to the playground, planned trips into the water puddles (good thing she brought her rubber boots), picked yellow flowers which Grandpa wouldn't let her bring into the motorhome. We did get rain. She was OK. Played games on her I-Pad, built a hut under the table for herself and Cosmo, loves to paint. I'm sure she slept very well when she got back to Regina. As far as us. Stopped in Moose Jaw and then our fun started. Motorhome started acting up. Got to Swift Current, then the small town factors cut in....no parts available. No sweat, our home for the next two days was the parking lots. We have now become Mall Rats. I'm sure Canadian Tire, Walmart and the local RCMP detachment are glad we hit the road. Oh yeah, Dad had a run-in with the RCs while I was in the mall. We were travelling back and forth with his Gator which we were pulling, only to find out he was not to move it unless it was loaded. Great! Now we're on foot. Finally after $500 we are back on the road. 30 miles down the road, we are back to square one. Same problem happens...with lots of coaxing we are back home. The bad part, our problem still isn't solved! Oh well, so the saga continues, I'm back to work tomorrow.

more stories

I've been thinking that this blog needs more stories.

For example... guess what happened to me today!?!

It all started in a show home about a month ago. I had noticed some kind of rock in the shape of a star fish. Really nice decoration. I though, hmmm... i wonder where they bought that. Then another showed up in Lincolns apartment that he rented. Well still... I'm left wondering... where did they get that? So, I am out shopping the other day for some colorful things to add to my apartment and sure enough... there they are. But this stinking 6 inch around star rock thing is 30 bucks. I found something else at the store but decided to pass on the $30 star fish.

Carrying on the store owner showed me around because he was the only one in there that spoke English. We just made some friendly conversation as we toured around the store, then I was ready to check out.

So he brings me to have someone else in the office "ring me thru" and he disappears. As I'm paying for my stuff... the manager shows up and hands me the star fish.... "Sin costo". Free :-). I didn't even tell him I liked that star and he wasn't even with me when I picked it up to check the price during my walk around.

Free... :-). See what happens when i put my mind to something. wow! More stories to come. i promise.

Now i'm going to bed. Another big day of work tomorrow.

Lemieuuuuuuux's

Hello Lemieuuuuuux's.

Just me, my netbook and Maya out here on the patio. It's 8pm, dark out, with a nice cool breeze. We just got home from our walk. I am reading a Cesar Millan (the dog whisperer) book right now and working some magic on Maya. Practice make progress (my yoga teach said)!!

I have 2 more weddings to shoot before I head to Canada. One of them is without my regular assistant. Actually my yoga teacher is also a videographer and starting to do photography, so I have her joining me :-). Should be fun!

I am leaving Maya and Jeter here while I'm back in Canada. My maid is staying here and bbsitting. Which works out really well for me.

Lincoln moved into a new awesome place, that is fully furnished... it's all brand new and made me a little jealous. So, I had to go out and buy some things for my condo :-). Throwing in a few dashes of color. It really makes a difference!! Come see!!

Uuuuh what else?? Condo still up for sale: playacarcondoforsale.wordpress.com

Send me a buyer. Thanks.

Later.
