Project for Dad

Ok Dad... I finally have a project for you. Do you think you could find some time to build my kids another cat tree?? I'll find you a picture of what I want but... quick explanation... It'll be a post that runs from the floor to the ceiling, with multiple shelves. It'll have a platform base and the height will adjust to fit tight to the ceiling.

Kinda like this:

or
http://www.woodruffforpets.com/wr015.html
or
http://www.zooplus.com/shop/cats/scratching_posts/ceiling_scratching_trees/36490

Nothing too fancy... just simple and skinny. I won't have much room in my new place! I'll talk to you to give you more info.

Also, we talked about making that thing for my bed??? I'm thinking because I'm moving Downtown, and will have limited space... it would be a good idea to build some drawers under the bed. I would probably just get you to build it to support my mattress so I don't need to use a bed frame anymore. But this project will have to wait until I move.

THANKS!!

ps.... Kim thanks for the Video! It is sooooo super cute! Looking forward to seeing more of Addy's "firsts".

Funny Animals

We now hava a monster in our midst. Cosmo has now decided if Omer gives Teva heck, she should bark at her and away goes Teva. I think Jeter would like that part. Guess the tables have turned on Teva.

AWE!!

Little Addy is sooooo cute!!! That was a fun video! We want more of both videos and pics!!!

Love Auntie Connie & Uncle Gavin

Whatta Day!

Hello Family,
Check out my new video! I'm getting to be such a big girl now. Mommy and Daddy have me trained like a little puppy (Daddy was so kind as to point that out!) Pretty soon, I'll be ahead of Cosmo and Sissy!

Love Billy, Kim, and Addy

Cheeky would be another name!

Your right! Lori was always the cheeky one and I don't mean chipmunk cheek either. She was the lippy one as everyone will well remember. Sorry Lori but you knew this would come back to haunt you someday, right? Ha, ha, just thought I'd remind you of all the gray hair you gave me. (and we all know how many I have).

Chipmunk cheeks!!!

Hahah, nice Chipmunk cheeks I have!

Lowered the condo to $304,900 yesterday. It now matches the lowest price in our complex. Lowered it by 18,000... sounds like alot... but we were over priced to begin with. All the prices range from 304 - 319 now. They've been selling for 300,000 to 309,000.

Anyway, we have a showing tonight. Hopefully this is the one!!! Cross your fingers!

Hey house hunters... I hear that buying a house in the States is different than up here in the great white north. Something about paying capital gains when you sell it... you may want to look into that.
ps - here is a little blast from the past... I think it was the glasses that got her all the high grades! And the time she spent studying instead of doing her hair.

Good Job Mommer!!

Congrats on your marks!! I see you get marks like I used to!!!

Nothing new.....still house hunting.

I DID IT!!

Finally got my marks back. I got a 90, same as A+....pretty good considering the average for Alberta is 72.4%. Was hard getting into gear to write an exam though. Had a lab on Saturday. Going to Sait is quite a challenge....have to remember I'm the old fuddy-duddy there. Had to good laugh at lunch time when they were talking about remember when milk came in plastic bags....they would of probably died had I told them I remember going to the barn and squrting milk at the cats and then taking the milk bucket into the house and drinking it, unpasteurized and I'm still alive.

Best Buddies

Hi everybody. Cosmo and Teva have become best friends. They have swapped beds, although I must admit Cosmo looks like a Furby in Teva's bed and Teva, well let's just say there isn't a square inch of unoccupied space. They even occasionally sleep side by side. Teva gets jail time when she bugs Cosmo at Chow Time. She does like her brushes which Dad gives her everyday.

Oh...

Oh... Mom... hows Teva doing??? Dar said her and cosmo are getting along well???

WOWZA'Z

Well, its about time. I've had my computer hooked up for a couple days and for some reason (which I have now figured out), I couldn't connect to the internet. Now its fixed!! Thank God!! I was going thru withdrawals!!

OK. I've been busy doing some house hunting. We were looking at only houses with pools...but there aren't many in the areas we're looking at so, I think we're gonna look at houses that are cheaper and we are thinking about putting in our own pool. We'll see how that goes.

Other than that, I'm keeping busy. I've gone to the gym everyday (except weekends), and I've wandered out on my own a couple times too! Today I got a little practice driving because I got lost a few times trying to find the Target I was at yesterday. My navigation system brought me close, but because I didn't have the address I had to do the rest on my own! That was fun! :O)

Well, I'll talk to ya'll real soon!!

Connie

PS.....Lar, can't wait til you come here.....I'm gonna take you to the Woodlands, its soooooo pretty! And I've got the Harley store mapped out for Bill when he gets here!!

Ah... memories.

Good job mother! When do you get your marks back? Oh... brings back old memories of being in college, waiting for marks, going to check the teachers board... day, after day, after day, to see if they've been posted yet. Ah, the good ol' days.

I've booked my trip to Houston. I leave Feb 8, and come back Feb 16th. I'm gonna be the 3rd wheel for Connie and Gav's romantic Valentines day. Heeheehee... ooops.

Also, playing dodgey ball again this season. With a different team! Its good so far.
Floor hockey started too. Good fun!

ONE QUARTER THE WAY THERE

For anybody who's interested I wrote my mid-term today. Was long, but I survived and think I did fairly well. Dad went out and got steaks so we celebrated tonight. Let me see, only 1.5 years left.

I know....

I know, I know... I wanted to post pics of everyone but... I ran out of.... time... Yeah, thats it... time.

Anyway, I'm sure you would all like an update on how I'm doing... hahaha... too bad! You're getting one anyway.

We've had quite a few showings in the last few days. 4 to be exact! Market is picking up. Think I might lower the price to sell so I can buy in the lower market too. My plan is to get something close to Downtown still.... but get something that is way outdated so I can put some time and money into it. I'll live in it for a year or two then sell it to make some moola!! The thing about the market is that DT is gonna be the first to appreciate in value when the buying season is in full force. So... gotta sell while everything is low, so I can buy low too!

And my little Jeter bear is doing great. Shes not going to the bathroom when I bring her to the box anymore... but thats because she is going on her own time. hahah. Shes good tho. Not so skiddish like before. I put a colar and bell on her and she didn't even care. I think it will help to get her used to noise... instead of being scared of noise. Yes mom... I'll leave a radio on for her too. Good idea.

Constar, you gonna fill us in on how Texas is going? Tell us about something besides the weather! New rule, no talking about Texan weather on this site! hahah!

Ok, gotta get back to work now.
Bye bye.

Day 3 in Houston

Well, Gav, Sisqo and I just got back from a walk. I think it is about 25 degrees out right now. Thank God for tank tops! hahaha. We're in for another warm one tomorrow, chance of rain though. We've started looking for a cell phone for me, so maybe by the end of the week I'll have one. Thats it for now!

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

2008 is starting with a Bang and in more ways than one. The dryer just went Ka-boum. Was a good time to take off. Ended up in Olds at Auntie Lucie and Uncle Clarence's. Continued on to Calgary. Took Auntie Bernie out for lunch at her favorite place, Swiss Chalet. Your father couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant....the gay waiter winked at him once too many times. Auntie turns 80 this year and she's bound and determined to buy a new car. Has to be RED (she's worse than me for vehicle color), doesn't matter what else it has. Checked some out and I think she's sold on a Honda Accord. Beautiful car, I must say.

We were fortunate enough to finally meet Gavin's parents and sister Ruth. They're wonderful people. Just can't believe how they kept the accent after 28 years in Canada. Supper at the Olive Garden was yummy, too bad we couldn't get a table to seat all of us.

Dad accomplished the impossible.....followed Lori down the Deerfoot....haha, just joking Lori....glad you took it easy on us. Got home around 1 a.m. Brought a gray cat home with us, which, by the way, doesn't travel very well. What we don't do for our children. Lori is soooo lucky Dad was patient with Teva, I on the other hand was too busy gagging. Anyways Teva now has rein of the basement and Cosmo is learning to watch her back. That's ok, Cosmo now has a new bed which looks exactly like Teva's. Phat Cat, however, doesn't like the idea of not being entitled to dog food especially when our pooch is eating. (of course Cosie has our help).

Landed in Houston

Well, everything went good today. Woke up nice and early (4am) so we could drop the dog off for 5. Then off to the airport we went. Short line-up to check in, and NO line up at US Customs. Believe it or not, from the time we dropped the dog off to the time we were sitting waiting to board the plane was 1 hour. That is unheard of at Calgary Airport. No problems getting my L2 Visa either. We landed in Houston at noon, and picked up the dog. He seemed to have had a good flight.....but who really knows, he can't talk!! Anyways, we're here now and all is going well!!!

Miss you all!!
Connie

Cooooonnie... here connie connie connie...

Come back!! Heehee! Hope you guys had a good flight. So sad to see you go. You and Teva both in one night! Why is everyone leaving me!??!

Enjoy your new home! And being away from the freezing cold. You're so lucky!

I decided I will be coming late Jan or early Feb so.... let me know if you see any good deals on flights! Save me one of those KING size beds at your place!

Anyway, fill us in on how your trip went, and how its feeling to have a new Hometown.

Love you and miss you already.
Call me sometime! 403-604-1454

(Oh, mom and dad and kim and bill... thats my new phone number!)

Teva... here kitty kitty kitty...

Where has my little Teva gone?!?! There is an empty space at home... where the devil used to be. I miss my little Teva and she just left for mom and dads last night.

Mom/Dad... How did she do on the trip? Hope she wasn't too much of a mess to clean up when you got home. Keep me posted on how she is doing. Jeter and I will be keeping busy with Jeters rehabillitation!
