Groovin' Addy

Yeah, I was really impressed by the dance moves. She has improved tremendously since we were there, although I'm a little dissappointed she doesn't do the little wing flip anymore. She was very entertaining to watch. lol. That's my Baddy.

Seriously

I thought you'd all be so amazed by Addy's dance moves that you wouldn't realize she was on the desk. Yes, we have new rules in the house: no being on the computer desk, no remotes, no command starts and no cell phones!! So, we are getting better.....

Addy loved all her Xmas gifts. She has been very busy cooking hot dogs and pizza in her new kitchen for her cousins. She'll be entertained for hours!!

Take care,
K
PS Darin, we are in Med Hat for New Years weekend if you are off work. (Thurs Jan 1 - Sunday).

What the Hell?

KIM-BER-LY A-N-N, you are so busted. I watched the video and wondered where she was.....dancin' on the computer desk, what's next, Hooters Bar? Good thing she's enrolled in gymnastics, a balancing act might be needed. She was quite entertaining though.

Kim-ber-ly!!!

Is Addy standing on the computer desk dancing??? That is not safe. hahahha. Bad girl!

Christmas Day Plus One

That makes it Boxing Day. We had a fun Xmas Day! Of course there was less action than usual. I would say that's cause only 3 extra people were here . Kim, Bill & Addy stayed in Regina and Connie & Gavin stayed in Houston (remember guys Christmas just isn't the same without snow). That's a hint for L & L to make sure they come to Canada for Xmas. Anyways with the exchange we decided on this year, I was lucky cause my gifts were here. Thanks Darin. I loved them all (and you to, of course). Got some other cool gifts....got a good gag gift....a book, can you believe it? I'll fill you in when I talk to you. Hooking up with Connie and Gavin also worked out great. (Missed you guys). Even with the small bunch, I cooked a turkey. And Kim if you would of been here, I wouldn't of forgot the cranberries sitting in the fridge....Lincoln tells me he missed them, however, failed to ask....guess he's not use to making himself at home. Lori must r-e-a-l-l-y spoil him. Anyways everyone is gone back to Calgary and we're back to our usual quite household. Lov you all, and hopefully next year we can all be together. XOXOXO.

Xmas Posting

For those who missed the usual xmas traditions around here.... here they are:

Leaving for church (ps, mom stayed awake thru the WHOLE service)

Xmas eve goodies:

Xmas light that Connie made and sent to Mom and Dad:

Dad opening his McDonalds meal from Dar. The "meal" was full of candies and McD's hockey cards:
Dar opening his gift from me. Which happens to be the same thing his roomate gave him... Dang.
Mom and her fluffy new slippers.... in her favorite color (she wanted me to add)
You have to ask Mom whats so funny about this gift:
Dars new shirt to help him at the bar. I think he'll probably wear this one all year round, not just at Xmas.
Innocent little angel... Noooot:
Linc and his guitar books (from me):
Huh, me, and.... soap... which you will all be getting a bottle of from Dad.... Thanks to Kim for not supplying any when Dad was visiting:
Oh... this is good... Guess what I'm wearing!?!? I forgot my bathing suit, and Mom pulled this one out from 1975!!! Just had this tucked away since her HONEYMOON!!! And, there is proof, we looked at her honeymoon photo album... and there it was! Hahah.
The real innocent little angel:

I can't beleive you keep posting images SIDEWAYS!!!! Give me a break... your in I.T. Do it right!

Merry Christmas

Hey Everyone,

MERRY XMAS! It was a good day for us. Bill (aka Lil Jesus) did another no heat call this year on the morning of Xmas. So, we got started opening gifts a little late this year. Lil Miss opened gifts and is very excited about all her new toys and clothes. She hasn't even opened all her gifts yet so Day 2 of Xmas will be a continuation. She just has a couple stocking stuffers from Mommy/Daddy.

So, here are some videos and pics!! ENJOY!!

See you on Jan 1 Gma and Gpa.

Love, Billy, Kim and Addy

The Streak!!

AKA Lori slowed down and low and behold she's in an accident. I can't believe it!!! Guess she's just not accustomed to dodging things that AREN'T moving. HaHa. Just joking Lori. Glad to hear everything is OK. My biggest relief when I hear you were in a smash-up was you weren't on The Deerfoot.....then Dad tells me the other guy didn't have a chance, he wasn't moving.

Addyson and Mr. Claus are quite the combination. She looks so much like Kim at that age. She even has that question mark on her face. Almost like she's wondering who this clown in the red suit and beard really is. Bet she even noticed the double moustache.

Fake?

You guys know this dude in the big red suit with all the white hair...I'm thinkin that he is a fake!!

Addy

Sorry

Dang, I never thought of that. Sorry. Yeah, your car would have been a write off. Larry's estimate is 1500.00. Ooops. Anyway, I'll let you know next time I'm on the road. haha.

All I have to say is why didnt you hit my Cavalier!! That would have been nice. I have been parking it a block away from my house hoping someone would slide into it, but no luck so far. Apparently I have to park it closer to down town.

Monday, December 22, 2008

I guess I'm not perfect after all...

Well... Linc isn't going to let me keep this a secret... so.... I guess I'll fill you all in on what happened Friday. Its about time something exciting happened on this blog anyway. You can all thank my driving skills for that!

Ok, so as you all know, i'm a fantastic driver, and I've never been at fault for an accident in my life. Well, I suppose I can't say that anymore. Unless... maybe it doesn't count if its a PARKED car that I hit. I don't think that should really be classified as an accident... maybe just stupidity. ahahhaah. Anyway... you heard me right... I hit a parked car. Went to turn right and misjudged the back end. Took out the front end of a cavalier parked on the side of the road. Ooops... Tore the front bumper off. It and a bunch of wires/lights/etc were laying on the ground in front of the car.

Its kinda like when you slip on the ice, then you look around to see if you should be embarrassed. Well, yes... there were plenty of witnesses and I was plenty embarrassed. Ooops again. So, this is a little lesson to all of you on what NOT to do! Glad I could be the ginea pig. Apparently this beast of a van doesn't track quite the same as my truck. I guess I'm just not cut out for mini vans. too bad for me....

No damage to the brick house Lolita! She held up nicely. What a trooper! Turns out we'll be losing our 6* rating when we leave to Mexico anyway... so... insurance it is! Apparently if you aren't claiming any of your own damage, then you don't pay a deductible. Merry Christmas to me! Poor Larry though has to deal with getting his vehicle fixed during this busy time. Sorry Larry....

Ok... let me have it... I'm ready for the abuse! Maybe this will entice Gavin to finally log in and post something???

ps... I'm fine by the way. I was going about 5km's per hour!

DRUGS??

Nurse doesn't have to come, we have plenty to keep everybody calm. I prefer Dad's. I am rather enjoying not stressing over Christmas. Oh, and by the way, you two are lucky I don't have your names cause I haven't done any shopping. I'm taking Lori's advice and waiting for Dec 24th. I'm just hoping I'm not scaring my children away.....gulp.....water sure helps when you take pills. HaHa. Do I have you wondering now???

holidays?

Mom, is your nurse on holidays or something??? Did someone forget to give you your meds again? Maybe this week you should double the dose to make up for the last few days.....

cookoo lookoo....

hahha.

Soggy Gift?!?!?

Connie, regift.....what a great idea...sure to be Dad's favorite. Dad didn't know I was giving it away....if I kept it in the freezer it would be in perfect shape. You must remember though this is from the Great White North and would contain much less environmental particulates per square inch....do you still want to give it up.

I don't want it!!!

Since I have dads name for Xmas I guess I'll just regift it. Don't even bother shipping it to me. I bet the box would be soggy by the time it got here. Please just wrap it up and put a tag on it saying "To: Dad, Love: Connie".

Thanks.

It's light....it's white....it's fluffy....we have tons and tons of it here in Medicine Hat ( L & L, I believe you have even more of it) If you need anymore hints, well Connie if you don't come and collect it in time it will disappear. HaHa! lol. Had you going. But remember it's FREE.

Yeah... what is it????

what is it???

Are you ready?

Connie and Gavin, it's yours. Sorry L & L, but you really don't need this, nor can you take it to Mexico.

ME ME ME ME!!!

I'm always interested in a deal, and I think the only way it'll get any better is if you pay me to take it.....

Im a sucker.. I know!

Ok... I'll bite... I would like something "free"... now what?

FREE! FREE! FREE!

Okay, is anybody interested in somethng free? If you are, let me know and I'll tell you what it is!

W-I-N-T-E-R

Is anybody welcoming the Winter Wonderland? First blizzard of the season. Yeah, you can quit laughing C & G. Dad & I were suppose to go to Calgary but 40 miles out of town we decided it was too ugly and Calgary was getting the worse of the storm, so here we are back home.

We went to Regina last week. Had alot of fun with little Miss Addy. Yeah, she's little but she sure likes to shake her bootie. She's quite the comedian. You guys have to see her dance moves. She's got a whole little arm shake going on and a little dip on the legs. She's funny, she's hilarious, she's entertaining. Kim has to video it, you'll laugh your ...... off. Kim and Bill also had their Xmas Party while we were there. Their employees all came over for a good part of the evening, after going out for supper of course. I think maybe I was a bit of the entertainment there for a while. They had a WII and I got to play baseball. Ah, it was so much fun. The guys played some poker. The only bad part is I came back with the flu, so after 4 days off, I called in sick for an extra 2 days off.

L & L looks like Mexico is shaping up. The place looks fabulous. Can't wait until I get holidays. Houston for 2 weeks, Mexico for 2, Regina on days off and Darin of course we'll make it to Calgary also. HaHa! Time to sign off and watch the snow fall. Bye, bye.

Update from Kim

Just to update you all on Kims life.....

They got a conditional offer on their place the other night! Whoohoo!!! Tis the season! Our turn next!!

Also, she says B-Addy is dancing and jumping these days.

Thats all I know about her.

Kim, u should send us some pics of your new place.... and Addy!

Constar, nice furniture!

Ps... its blizzarding here right now... and supposed to be -30ish this weekend. Bad weekend for Mom and Dad to be driving her for school. They're coming tomorrow.

Merry Wedding

Thanks Mom and Dad for our wedding gift. It was just delivered.

Freezin my booties

Wowsers... its cold here. Nice dump of snow to come back to in Good Ol Calgary. Just another reminder of why I must leave... It got down to about 15 degrees in Playa in the evenings... Some winter. Our realtor said it does get a little cooler into Dec and Jan. That'll be when you have to come visit Dad. I think you'll enjoy the cooler evenings.

Oh Dad... update on the Astro van. The wipers quit completely the other day. Part at Canadain tire was 130 bucks.... At pick a part it was only 19!!! We replaced the wiper motor and that works like a dream too now! I think that will be the last of our repairs. Shes ready to hit the road!!

Bye bye... happy Xmas... its coming fast.

Friday, December 5, 2008

Well... the decisions have been made and we have an offer accepted for our new home in Playacar Mexico! Have to see how things go but it sounds like it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 months to complete the deal working with the Mexician banks (Scoita bank).

Very exciting! We ended up using a local Mexican real estate broker (Dulce) originally from Mexico city. She was very helpful and since she knows spanish, the area, and the locals everything seems to be going very very smoothly. We went out 3 different days with her and she was patient with us as we drove the coast a few time and looked at around 20 different properties.

We celebrated tonight with a "good" steak dinner and a couple cerveza's.

A couple more pics from the place which is located inside a private zone... inside a private zone! You like that mom? We actually feel very safe here. You will see when you come visit me. Some fees for that as they are gated but we like it.

It is on hole #10 of the golf course. 2BR, 1500 sq ft, 2.5 bathrooms. Glass is supposed to be hurricane proof... hopefully we don't find out. We are on the second level... right beside the common area sun deck. The jacuzzi is also part of the common area. We also get beach access thru a local hotel the Reef Club.... and another private beach where we can pay 15/day for access. I think Peanut and Jeter will be happy! Here are the pics and one of Dulce our new Mexican friend who also has a place just down the street from us. That might come in handy as she walks her dog around the golf course!

Our balcony... sliding glass doors out from the bedroom and the living room:

Common area outside. look close... I'm standing in our unit back there. We'll be getting some good blinds for privacy and so we don't bake in there in the summer!

Thats our unit, second floor:

This is Dulce. We just found out today we haven't been pronouncing her name property. but she likes it. So glad she going to be on the same block as us. She nice. and she could possibly be our new animal sitter.... as she has a dog too.

Hola

Hola mi amigos.

Down in Playa now. Quick post to let u know we've been doing lots of property shopping. Looooots! Fell in love with another one today. Its called Akoya. Amazing windows, great space, gated community, nice view. couple pics below.

constar, i'll be going wherever we have xmas. i think thats the hat... but maybe regina. dunno.

heres da condo: lemme know what u think

Hey Ya'll

Not too much new around here......just posting for the heck of it!

Lor, good to hear things are going well South of my border. Hope you're enjoying the weather.

Yesterday was cold here...but today warmed up. Tomorrow gonna be chilly again. Its kind of annoying we have to keep changing the thermostat, heat, air, off, heat, air, off. Some nights it gets pretty chilly...and others not at all!

What is everyone doing for Xmas? Where is everyone gonna be? I'll be here. Gav's parents are rolling in I think on the 20th (the day after the Tesco Xmas party). They'll be here for a week....we're going to the NFL game on the 28th. Last one of the season.

Seems we have new neighbors on one side of us, and looks like the messy part of the construction on the other side of us should be just about over. Looks like they'll be working inside the houses now. Just need sod on the other side of us...might be done in the next week though. Still don't know if those houses are sold or not......

Anyhow, not much else going on around here. Hopefully going out tonight to get the rest of our Xmas shopping done so I can put 'em in the mail tomorrow. Mom, I still need you to answer my email.................

Hola mi familla

Just hanging out at the resort after our all inclusive supper. Mexicano to night. It was ok. Resort is super.... mostly because its located in Mexico!!! Had our first day of showings yesterday. It went well... There is some nice stuff but most of them have very poor floor plan designs. Yet another sign we're in mexico... We go out again bright and early tomorrow morning to see more properties.

Also hit the famous 5th ave of Playa last night. Going back to do some shopping tonight. Its a really nice place. Kinda like a regina scarth street or calgary steven ave... about 10 blocks long. real nice.

Catch ya later. Just wanted to let you know we're doing very well here!!

Just so we're all clear... we are only buying ONE xmas gift this year... for the person we got in the name picking. Except Addy... of course. She gets however many presents she wants!!

So... feel free to wait until the 24th to do your shopping.... u don't have much to do....

Happy Halloween

Well, we are a bit behind in our postings. Here is a pic of Addy from Halloween. We didn't really get good ones as she insisted on holding on to Daddy when she was dressed up. Oh, and I had tried out the RaggedyAnn wig and she liked wearing it the first time we tested it but then she'd just tear it off.

Enjoy!!
PS apparently I need to figure out how to flip pics in this program or start taking then the other way with our camera.
We are off to Grey Cup next weekend as I won tix, flights, hotel. Food and entertainment is our expense but it is still a great deal!! We're looking forward to a weekend in Montreal. Auntie Cindy is coming down to watch the munchkin.
We are going to be in Puerto Vallarta FEb 7 -15th so if anyone is looking for a warm trip and wants to hook up in Mexico, let me know!
Hope DAr had a good time in Houston.

Visitors

How was the weekend with your first company in the new house??? Glad someone finally broke the curse. Fill us in on what you did...

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

oops...my bad.

maybe its me skewing your numbers. i thought if i went to your website a whole bunch of times that was good for you...but i guess if you're watching the stats like that then maybe i shouldn't. hehehe. its good that there is so much interest....too bad you have to turn them down.

anyways, i'm just waiting for Gavinator to get home. I went out and bought this giant fake plant today (gonna do something different in our room). Got it from Finger furniture, they're closing out....I got an $800 and some odd dollar tree for under $200. not too shabby if you ask me. when we go back we're going to look at rugs...need one really bad for the dining room. lar, i'll update you later when we decide to buy one or not.... :O)

still waiting for darin to get on that jet plane!

Hi....

Hi family... or should I say... Connie. Seems you and I have our own little email chain that the family reads once in a while.

We finally finsihed off the free wedding package we did (Oct 4th wedding). And we're working very hard on getting our website running quicker. Seems 70% of the people are only staying 0-30 seconds. Which means they aren't waiting for our page to load. Understandable. So.... we working to get it loaded RIGHT AWAY!

We started buying Google Ads. We pay 40cents per click to have it show up on the first page when people search for a mayan wedding photographer. In three days we've gotten 5 clicks! Whoohoo! I think our google bill is up to $2.50. Thats actually not bad. We seem to be getting a ton of email requests for prices all of the sudden. We've turned down at least 5-10 weddings because we won't be there in time to shoot them. (ie December, Jan, Feb are really popular right now. If we were there we could have booked at least another 5! There is definitely a market for what we're doing. and people are definitely interested in hiring us!

I'm thinking I will post some pictures of my new baby soon... Shall we say, Astro-lita!

Tall to you Later, Connie.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!!

Hello out there.....Is my family still around? Have they all vanished???

Not much new around here....we got ourselves our very first half black president. We'll see what kind of "changes" he makes around here. He better start quick!!

Dar is coming in two days....lets just hope the curse is over. We've had guests twice in a row have to cancel, so everyone cross your fingers!!

Anyways....until next time......peace out!

FREEDOM 30

Wow, Lori, your ahead of the ball game. Most people have to wait at least until they hit 50 for debt freedom. Sad story is sounds like it will be short lived. Nice to enjoy while you can though.
Glad to hear your deal is finalized and finished.
Nothing too exciting in Medicine Hat. As a matter of fact, there is absolutely nothing new. For anybody who cares I'm doing well in my second year. Assignments are on time and quite well done according to the marks. Oh, I know something else. I got new glasses. Lori even likes them or so she said. They are....are you ready for this....RED....well actually burgundy.

Up until...

Today is the big day... Money in the bank!! Up until last night... I was living between two condos! Not anymore.... All moved out and their possession is today. I will have you all know, the only expense I have in my name these days is my cell phone! Holy mackeral! Thats sad and exciting at the same time! Oh, and soon to be an Astro van insurance payment.... That is all sad... no excitment there. hahaha.

Jeter is doing well at the new place. I think her hiss'er is gonna be worn out soon though. It's all good... I had a doggie on one side of the bed last night and the kitty about two feet away. So, we're making progress.

And, what else... we have a photography course starting next Monday. I'm sure we will learn alot of stuff! All about these things we've been letting the automatic deal with. And, we are registered for a portrait photography course for January.

Ok, thats all... bye bye.

Work?

Hi Family,
I was back to work on Oct 20....and we am living across 2 houses right now....with that being said, we have no internet at the one house and no computer at the house with internet. I know that makes a lot of sense!! I'll be working on getting connected in the next week or so.

Happy early Halloween!

Later,
KAB

Done deal

Conditions are removed from the offer on my place. Their possession is Oct 30th! Holy fart... one step closer to Mexico!

I wonder how much interest I can gain on my moola for the next few months!?!?!? How exciting!!

Just to keep you updated... we're working on booking our 3rd wedding for April! Looks like our goal moving date may move to april... We will see.

gift certificates

A year or so back, we got mom and dad a gift certificate for Rocky mountain lodges. They are not going to use them... So they gave them back to me. Unfortunately we cannot get a refund. I got them extended to Dec 30/09.

So, our options:
- try to sell them on the internet... for less than their value
- one of us can try to use them
- regift.

Lemme know your thoughts....

Catchin' Up!!

Catchin' up on all sort of things.....wash, news, SLEEP. Ha, ha. Being a Grandma and Grandpa is tough work. Just think I used to chase 4 of you around and still managed. Being organized was the key, I guess. Addy is one busy little girl. Smart as a button. She was amazed by the over 6 inches of snow we got Sunday (needless to say, we were too!!!). Favorite saying todate is "wha's tat" all in a whisper. Pretty good considering she can't talk.

Sounds like C & G had all kinds of fun at 6 Flags. The Hallowe'en coffin looks like one of Dad's creations except in a rougher style. And the wooden roller coaster, Yikes, I wouldn't be caught dead on it. I can't believe they still operate it. It has to be ancient. Probably shut down cause they were looking for timbers to strengthen it.

Cats are still alive here, so I guess they got fed. Dottie & Vicki came over. Dad talked to Dottie. I just know Jeter got pets and then decided she should try and bite. Didn't happen though. Right now, Jeter is meowing and I don't know why. Teva is catching up on sleep.

Dad, aka Grandpa has picked up a cold/flu and is trying to re-cuperate. To date, I'm fine, however, did have a really bad headache when we got to the Hat. Thought it was the start of the same bug Dad has but it has since left. I don't have time to be sick. I work tomorrow and leave about 3 for Calgary for classes. Saturday we shall be returning to CowTown for Patrick Ducharme's wedding.

In the meantime, hope everyone has a really great week!

Six Flags Pics

Super Wicked Roller Coaster.....Goliath The Rattler....it was closed when we were there. Thank God because I probably would've peed my pants! Even though wooden roller coasters scare me to death, I still would've gone on it.
Poltergeist....."keep your arms in at all times....goodbye"....and you're GONE!
Six Flags was all Hallowe'ened out....
The lollipops we bought for Matt and Aprils kids for watching Sisqo for us.

All the trips?

How were all the trips??? Vegas, babysitting and six flags?

Mom, lemme know how Vicki did with the cats. tx again.

Day Trip

Gavin and I are going for a day trip to San Antonio today. Going to Six Flags!! Should be fun times! We're actually staying over night because we'll be tired after a full day of riding the rides!! Talk to y'all later!!

Condo... For SALE???? Or sold???

Not quite sold yet... but I'm bettin' by the time the weekend is over! It's had some good action the last couple days! Yesterday I had a second showing, and there is another second showing scheduled for Saturday!!! Whoohoo! There is also a third that is asking an awful lot of questions. We will see. I'll keep you posted!

Sample shots.

Just spent a few mins looking at the pics I took of Kim, Bill and Addy. Here's the beginning of the batch. We did have some technical difficulties.... but now we know for next time. Here are my favorites so far.

IS THE ASTRO A CHALLENGE?????

And the challenge is not so much fixin' as matchin' the colors back up. Lori did you fail to tell Link'n Dad was COLOR-BLIND??? Its okay though, maybe he'll come up with some exciting new color combinations. Are you worried yet?

Names

Oh sorry.... forgot to comment on that one...

I guess I'll give in this year..... It has been brought up for some years that we should go back to JUST picking names.... and JUST buying for that one person who's name you get. I think you've all said it before so please comment on who would like to do this, or not.....

I'm all for it this year, considering I'm working on building the bank account right now. Mexico living will thank me later.

XMAS NAMES

So nobody wants to pick names? Thats fine. I don't either...apparently.

Astro-lita

Well.... our baby is almost home. Drove all the way to winnipeg and back in 3 days. Left my poor little baby kitties at grandma and grandpa's. Poor Teva is not the best traveller.... Not sure how shes gonna make Mexico yet. I think Jeter would be fine.... but I'm not so sure about Teva... She has a rough time making it around the block.

Anyway, Astro is at Mom and Dads too. Dads new project! Hes replacing the water pump for us and fiddling with some wires to see if he can fix the many electrical issues (ie power windows, wipers, cd player). Minor stuff.... but slightly important for a week long trip.

Linc, I think we need to name the Astro.... and its a girl.... How about.... uh.... How about a Mexican name... Lolita?

Wedding/Engagement Photos

Wow, some pretty good ideas. Let me see.....I like....them all...haha. My favorite is the one of the girl with her face lit & he's kinda on the side. Like the ending, hands walking down the path. Oh Yeah and the swing and the bench. Thanks for sharing.

RUBY'S TRAVELS

First part of the story is we got an oil change without any oil being put back in. The argument has been on-going since July 31st as to the damage done. Davis says none, we say extensive. Davis finally agreed to have an independent mechanical shop drop the pan. This was done at Ebel's and each party took oil samples at the same time for analysis. Over two weeks went by and we hadn't heard anything. Dad went to see Bert who was gone so he dealt with Dayle (auto & Lube Mgr.). Dayle was surprised this wasn't resolved and promised to look into it. Dad then ventured through Davis's lot and couldn't find the Envoy. Went down to Ebel's and couldn't find it there either. Decided to go into the shop. As he's speaking to the Boss and the Boss comments somebody has finally come down to pick it up. Dad is not the picker-upper, but low and behold, behind him enters Dayle looking for the Envoy. Then we never heard from them until 5:05, when Dad receives a call from Bert telling him there seems to be a funny noise in the engine compartment and asks Dad to come down in the morning. This we did, along with Uncle Victor and listened to the consistent ticking (at this time oil analysis were compared / ours shows many parts of chrome & silver, theirs, need I say, minimal). They are confident nothing is wrong and some cap on the connecting rod (I think) has been put on backwards. Uncle Vic explains this cannot happen and their mechanic Rick says yes, always....they also is not a good combination. Tim Davis is around so back into the office we go. We give him our options. He will check into it and get back to us. Again days pass and Dad once again decides to find poor ole Ruby. That is when he found her, stripped of her heart (her engine, in case you didn't figure that out) and that brings us to the last update. Today the comment was "you have something to drive, don't you?"

what!??!?!

We're missing part of the story!?! Why is your Envoy even at Davis? And I'm guessing they did not agree to replace your engine.... What are they doing? Stripping it for parts?

Also, check out the website. We have a new gallery for the engagement shots we took!!! I think they turned out great! These are just some of them.

Tx, enjoy!

DAD'S MISSION

Dad's objective for today was to find the Envoy. Well, low and behold that red truck is missing again. He can't find it on Davis' Lot AGAIN. Went in the service bay, only to see it way up high on the hoist. Oh, we have no idea why its up there cause there isn't anything wrong with the engine. Oh, just a minute! Let me correct that statement. The Envoy is on the hoist and the ENGINE is sitting beside on a stand. I don't know, last week they were looking for another vehicle for us and now we have what looks like pieces. Words were exchanged and we are now waiting again and the patiences are wearing rather thin. Stay tuned for another episode.....lets just call it Ruby's Travels by Tim Davis.

FASHION POLICE

Good eye Lori! Connie you are so busted. I just thought it was some weird runners. Who in this world would wear socks with flip-flops? Not even Dad. He just tries to get away with socks with sandals. Hummm......daughter like father????

fashion...

Excuse me.... Connie... are you wearing socks with your flip flops in your "windy" picture?? I thought something looked weird!

Hurr-ying Ike

How do you like the new name for hurricane? Hurrying Ike. I see you still have a lot of work to do. Still trying to get the "Little Boy" out of Gavin. Of course it doesn't help when he's got a buddy doing the same thing. Glad he was able to find some humor while he was waiting for Ike. Kinda sad to have to look at your house half boarded up. Probably a good thing your landscaping isn't too mature so you didn't have to contend with up-rooted trees. I'm thankful you guys decided to buy inland and north. I like the pond sunset pic. At least it looks like there is still some peace in Houston.

Lori's Pics

Got some good shots there L & L. My favorite is the couple and the bench. Good imagination and composition. Do you find your shot ideas are getting better and easier?

Hurricane IKE. The aftermath.

This used to be the Lakes of Fairhaven sign....

Broken branches
Broken fence
This is down Mason Rd, to get to our house from the freewayand a nice picture we took last night.....at the pond that is sooo much higher than normal.

Same retention pond...just the other side of the road.....I wish I had comparison pics...but I don't.
