Company is coming!

Wow just one more day until everyone arrives for the wedding! I'm sooo excited! I'm staying at the resort with the group for 2 nights. I found an awesome deal!! 133 bucks per night for a room that is normally 350!! Whoohooo

Wow time flies! This is going to b so fun to capture a wedding where I know so many people!! I can't wait!!

Im all caught up on my weddings so I should have time to post some Xmas pics today.

I have a second child

I am joining Kim and Bill and decided to go for a second child!!  I am now the proud Mama of two doggies.   Well... temporarily.  I'm sure you all know there are tons of stray dogs here and also a few animal shelters.  One of them posted a pic of a dog in need and I decided to help :-).

For a long time, I have been wanting to foster dogs to help find them homes.  I figure when I walk them, I can put a sign on that says "adopt me".  Or something like that.  Well, I have my first candidate - Rusty.

Rusty is the sweetest little guy ever.  He is about one year old and was in desperate need of foster home.  He came to the shelter as a pup and never left.  But... somewhere along the way he developed serious fear!  He is scared of everything.  When I first met him he wouldn't even move.  I am taking on the job of introducing him to the world outside his dog shelter.

I got him yesterday afternoon and we have been working lots to get him used to some noises and home things.  Like, leashes, stairs, music, kennel, etc.

Today he discovered mirrors and windows.  hahaha, he banged into the patio doors twice today.  Sort of not that funny because when he does it he is running away in fear... then bang... something else to be scared of.  Right now his safe place is the patio.

Him and Maya are getting along.  I am actually seeing a change in Maya and I am wondering if it is because I have changed??... I am very consistent with Rusty... because that is what he needs.  Rules, boundries and limitations - as my idol Cesar says.  Well, he also needs love in there somewhere... but I am sure to give it to him at the right time.  Both kids are respecting me and know that i'm the boss.  So that's great.  I don't think they have quite sorted things between them.  Once in a while I hear a growl.... but we're doing very well so far.

Just to give you an idea of how scared he is... today he is still scared of the sound of a light switch.... and yesterday he was even worse!!  So... worse than that... was pretty bad.

We've had alot of other successes too!  Kennel training, eating, walking with leash, stairs, bathroom outside (with a couple accidents today - darn).

Anyway, Just wanted to introduce you all to my new "project".

Hi, I'm home

Hi all... I'm home! Had a great time with everyone. So glad we could all b home for Xmas!

I got in around 3pm today. Got thru customs and all without paying any extra fees or taxes on my oversized box! No duties either. They just asked if I had any computers... And I said yup, just an iPad. And they let me go thru. I assume it was just too busy for them to bother checking me. No computers... But what about that oversized cardboard box???! Nobody said a word!

There is a nice chill in the air here. not quite like a Canadian chill... But I recommend sweaters for all the tourists coming for the wedding!!

It felt so nice to walk into my home. I love my home! I was so excited to see my kids.

Tomorrows job is to set up my computer, and if I'm really ambitious I'll work on setting up the satellite. Also have a couple wedding packages to finish so should get my computer up and running ASAP

I will post some xmas pics one of these days.

15 more sleeps!!!!

Yes it is true!! Only 15 more sleeps till we leave to Mexico. We are both very excited and happy at least Mom and Dad could come, and I guess Lori will show up to. We hope everyone rang in the New Year with a good celebration.
