Advice
Hey Con, I was just thinking... maybe you want to get some advice from a professional mechanic before you choose a vehicle to purchase. I'm just sayin'. (heehee)

Well, I wish I was in Houston enjoying turkey, mashed potatoes and the whole bit....including ending the night with some shopping! Black Friday deals. So sad I'm gonna miss it this year.
So, I don't think I've told you guys (besides mom) that his Hummer deal fell through. Well, it was a go, we had the money in the bank for it and everything. Well, Gavin was going to meet this guy (Mike - owner) at 3 pm at the Transportation office to transfer the title and all that junk....well, Mike calls at about 130 and says that he was just at a traffic light, and he went to take off, and nothing.....he was getting the Hummer towed. Transmission needs work. Needless to say, he returned our deposit and we're looking again. We went out to the automall last night to take a look around. We looked at a few vehicles. There is one that we're gonna go look at tomorrow...in the light. It's an 07 Hummer again. Black. Only 24k kms on it. The story is (so we're told), the previous owner is the owner of Geant (closest you'll get to WalMart) at Ibn Battuta Mall. He just bought 2 new vehicles (Bentley and Porsche) before Eid (about 2 weeks ago), and he left his Hummer at the dealer for them to sell. Anyways, the interior is almost perfect, small imperfection in the dash...a button missing...and the outside has a few knicks in the paint. We're going to look at it again early tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we also have some appts to look at places for rent. I can't wait until we have a place. This apt living is annoying. Having to take the dog out on the leash everytime he needs to pee. I think he's on a pretty good routine, so I appreciate that. It will be nice to let him run around again...and so Gavin can chase him in the yard. Everything is tile here so he gets no traction and I don't want him to wrap himself around a table leg or something. We don't need to be making any trips to the vet. He does like to lay out on the patio and park himself in the sun. After a few mins he'll come back in the apt panting. Funny little man.
Gav and I went out for Thanksgiving dinner last night. He had a beef pie with mashed potatoes and gravy. I had pizza. We did our cheers to Thanksgiving over that meal! hahaha. Maybe we'll have a real meal at Xmas.
I might go for my first trip to Abu Dhabi this week. I think Gav (and Gary) will be going almost everyday this week....so I thought maybe Gary's wife and I can tag along and they can drop us off at the mall, until they're done. I haven't been there yet so if we do go, I'll have to do my research!
Well family....thats all for now.
Love Conster.
PS Lor, thanks for the gourmet meal tips. I may have to try that.

Ah Con... ur such a rookie! It's easy... turn oven on, it doesn't even matter what temperature. Just somewhere around normal. Dump some things in a cookie sheet and slide it in. Voila! Sometimes if you want to mix it up a bit you can take those cookie sheet goodies and cook them on the BBQ instead! For example, chicken burgers, or chicken wings. Then you call it a gourmet meal.

Not sure what will be going on here....probably not too much. Maybe moving. Don't know if we'll have a tree. Probably not. Its packed. Guess it depends when we get in a place....still looking but feels like its a never ending project. You would think that these people just dont' want to rent out their places. So annoying. Nobody calls back.
Anyways, nothing new around here. Did some retail therapy yesterday, not much though. I wanted to make some turkey today....but I don't have wheels to go to the grocery store...and you can just imagine what it would be like to drag Gavin there after work. I guess I'll have another cookie sheet dinner....Lor, how do you stand it?!?!? :)
Peace out.

Yup, I plan to get a tree today. I need to find a stand though. Everywhere you buy a tree here they nail a 4x4 stand to it and a water bowl. Thats right... they nail through the water bowl to attach it to the bottom of the tree. Needless to say... it doesn't work very well. Couldn't actually water the tree last year without it leaking out the bottom. Made for a dry brown tree. :-(

You can't have "Mr. Nick-Nak M & M". I rather like him....oops Dad is the one who has all the M & M characters. Maybe I should be putting them out! He's really cute Lori. Do they have lots of Christmas things out? I'm curious as to whether you will have a Christmas tree. Thanks for sharing. How did the shoot go? Haven't had time to check out the new site. Hopefully later this week.

Happy Birthday again. Connie you will recall Kimberly sent you a birthday wish. I was the one who asked her to send it...I believe it was worded with, Happy Birthday from Canada. Just making sure you don't think I didn't recall giving birth to a third daughter like 31 years ago. Anyways sounds like Gavin made your day pretty special. We were in a "winter wonderland" aka Regina and putting up with -30 degree weather and a little wind chill to go with it over the week-end. Glad to be back in Medicine Hat putting up with way less snow and warmer temperatures.

Thanks brother and sisters for the Bday wishes.....looks like the parents forgot about me....I guess thats what happens when you move to another hemisphere! :)
Gavin took me out to the Buddah Bar. I guess you could call it very expensive and fancy Chinese food. It was delicious. Good thing I only have one bday a year!!
Today we'll be picking up the Hummer. I'm sure Gavin is excited he won't have to drive the Mitsubishi Galant anymore. He's been driving that little car for 8 months! Going from his truck to the car was probably a pretty big adjustment!!
Today I'm going to look at some villas. Hopefully I find something good for a good price. Wish me luck.
Lor, Good Luck with your photo shoot....I'm sure you'll do awesome.
Dar, I'm gonna try to call you sometime so I can figure out how much it costs for a long distance phone call. I think sending texts for me is pretty cheap. 60 fils = $0.16. Much cheaper than the $0.50 for International texts from Houston.
Anyways, gotta go get ready for the day, while you guys are just getting ready for bed! Isn't it funny!

Tomorrow is a big day for me! Shooting my very first wedding all on my own. Well, with an assistant... but I'm the man in charge, and only me. I have been very relaxed and excited about it. Not nervous I mean. Which is awesome. I feel very prepared and am looking forward to getting a solo shoot under my belt to prep me for next year!

Morning. I'm up at 8:00 this morning! That's what happens when I go to bed at 10:30. Rained most of the day yesterday... it was sooo nice! Until i went out for KFC. Newly opened in Playa. I was so excited to try it. But it bombed... different fries, different gravy and dark meat big crunch. Yuck yuck yuck... All bad.... Guess I'll still to McDs and Burger king!

I talked to Connie yesterday. She couldn't get her skype to work. We think probably just because of a slow connection. We used another program online and were able to communicate by voice only. Video was too much I guess cause it was all choppy and freezing. Our voice convo was pretty much perfect though.

Happy to see your reading this today. I knew your flight would go smoothly. Was Gavin at the airport to meet you? What about Sisqo? Maybe it was a good thing you lived in Houston for awhile, the heat shouldn't be quite so hard on him now. So, tell me, what was the first thing you thought of when you landed? Good luck to you and Gavin in the new venture. Like Lori, a new language to learn, a new culture to get accustomed to, life goes on and you as well have widened your horizons....let me see, both from Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan, Canada. Although your all away from us, we are very proud of everyvbody's accomplishments.
