Nice Smiley

Hey Lori, that was the "Bomb Blizzard" and that's exactly what they called it. Apparently it has something to do with the barometric pressure and temperature dropping over 20 points in 24 hours. I forgot my meds, but did you forget your glasses....wizzard? I know where I can hook you up for an eye exam when you come to Canada. Your right about Darin. Seems he has to be out of the country to actually hear from him. Take care.

Yeah

Actually it does put a smile on my face... only cause I just got back from the pool... where I fully appreciated where I am and the awesome weather. Its a hot one today!

And then I got a confused look when you mentioned the "bomb wizard". But I chalk that up to forgetting your meds this morning. hahaha.

I moved my "office" into the living room... but it is so bright out here I might have to start wearing shades when I sit down to work at the computer. Been planning my break times a little smarter since the move.

I will take pics of it once I tidy up a bit.

Tx for letting us know u heard from Dar.

Mexico

Darin and Andrea gave us a call last nite from Mexico. They should be back Friday.
Lucky ducks are putting up with sand and sun while we are wondering if the "Bomb Blizzard" will drop any more snow. Does that put a smile on your face Lori?

Just looking

I'm looking at buying a MAZDA CX-7. Have a look at it here: See this vehicle on Cars.com. Let me know your thoughts.

I found a company that ships from Florida to Puerto Morelos (only 30 mins away). Prices are reasonable, considering the money I will save by buying it in the States compared to Canada or Mexico. I will head to the dealership in Cancun to have a look at one and take it for a drive.

Something else for thought... Sweet Fire Photography! This is the up and coming new photographer in Playa Del Carmen... ie... Me!! Thats my new company name that I'll be working under starting Jan 2011. Like it? Website coming soon.... so stay tuned.

Happy Turkey-Lurkey Day

Lori sounds like finding a turkey in Mexico is a feat in itself. Perhaps the hole in the wall wasn't for turkeys. In Canada such a set-up would be for drugs. I guess chickens are a suitable substitute. I did cook a turkey and we did think of you and Connie & Gavin....thought about taking a picture of the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy...just to remind you of old times. Yummy!
And you have something else to be thankful for. Kim, Bill & Addy left around 1:00 today....the day passed and around supper time Teva was no where to be found. Shook the treat bag and still no kitty....opened all the doors & closets...still no kitty. We did find her.....on the front step. Guess she got out when K,B & A were leaving and we didn't notice.
Had a mini birthday party for little Miss Addy. Darin & Andrea really spoiled her with presents. Addy was busy with her crazy ball & baking set when I got home Saturday. She also got the Barbie Movie & books. Addy fell in love with "The Princess Dress"(as she calls it)...its actually a top with bell sleeves and sparkles and now she thinks she's worth a million bucks....dancin up a storm. Ah, she is so funny. She's so special, truly a gift from God. We love her to pieces.
Connie also called Thanksgiving Day. She & Gavin will soon be leaving for Dubai. Their house isn't sold, however, it is leased for 2 years. I know they have been planning this for a while, but it still seems SO far. Now, you must remember this is someone who didn't want to leave Willow Bunch. How things change in a few years. Good luck in the new venture.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving family!!

My friend Aristi and I planned to host a turkey dinner for a few other girlfriends. So after looking at every grocery store for a turkey we finally found a friend who could get us a turkey. He showed me where to pick it up Sunday morning.... Some hole in the wall place... about a 4 foot square. So, I show up just before I'm ready to cook it and what do you know?!!!? The place is closed. So, I storm around there for a few minutes. Really, there is nowhere to look for them... or a phone number or anything. It's literally a hole in the wall! It's in the corner of a building, with a window and door opening to the street. Thats it! So, I ask at the grocery store next to it. Nope nope... nobody knows how to get in touch with them.

So, I write them a note to call me when they get back. And in the mean time, the owner called my friend and said... Oh... I'm back in Cancun... Sorry you can't get your turkey. Seemed like the grocery store DID know how to contact her as it was a weird coincidence that she just HAPPENED to call Tona as I was still standing there.

Anyway.... no turkey for us. Which was fine... But I hope to god they didn't kill the turkey!!! When you get one from the grocery store you don't really think about how they grew up and all of the sudden got their head chopped off for you to enjoy Thanksgiving. But when you directly ask someone to go kill one of their turkeys and bring it to you... makes me kinda sad for the poor thing.

So, my friend Aristi was here since around noon and we made, 3 chickens (poor guys), mashed potatoes, gravy, greek salad (Aristi is greek), ceasar salad, veggie platter with dip, and stuffing! Oh my god mom... how do you do it every year all by yourself! And your tastes so much better! hahaha.

I am thankful for little animals giving their lives to help us live.... and mom for making such super fantastic meals every holiday!!

THANKS! Happy Thanks giving!
