xmas

Hi. Just letting u all know plans for Linc and I... and Connie and Gavin have been finalized for xmas. We'll all be in Houston. We found a wicked deal on a flight so we booked it. Just $500 bucks for the both of us! Better than the $1000 normal price.... or even more to head to Canada.

No snow for us this year. We'll be sure to skype with the rest of you on xmas. hahah, look at me planning a skype date for 3 months in advance! Be there! or b square!

Also, sounds like cousin Dona and her bf will be coming here in December. They might stay with us for a while... and cruising around the rest of the coast as well. They may be here while we're in Houston! Phew.... cat sitter!!! hahahah.... suckers!

Updates around here... had a beach day today out at Xpu-Ha. Its a section of beach where they have a restaurant, couple little shops and alot of empty beach. We played alot of frisbee on the beach and had a blast! Apparently there is also RV'ing and tenting there and I am excited to try that out when my tent gets here next month!!! Whoo hoo... who would have ever thought I'd have a chance to camp on a tropical Mexican beach?!?! Not me.

A guy from work is due to arrive in just two days. He is staying in a resort just 5 mins from our house. Then two days later a couple of Lincs friends from Calgary arrive... with care packages for us!!!

Tyra is also planning to come from Regina in the new year. She is supposed to be booking her trip tomorrow! and flying here in January. Lots of peeps bringing us goodies from the real world. My next order from Dona is going to include Poker chips.

Oh, also, we finally bought a kitchen table. Along with a hutch to match it. They are rustic Mexican style, and some Mexican is building it as we speak. Only 800 bucks for the table, 6 chairs, and at hutch thing. Wow! Cheap! Barato! It will look fantastic in our place. Starting to feel more like a home around here... partially due to our new orange/red paint job in the livingroom/kitchen. I'll post pics once we get furniture.

Kristen's Wedding

Went to Regina this week-end. Of course we saw K&B&A. Wedding Saturday nite. Kristen & Chad got married at the lake. Was just immediate family, I guess. We did go to the reception in Southey (about 40 minutes from Regina). The groom looked good and the bride was beautiful. Uncle Chico would of been very proud of his daughter. Of course Auntie Signe & the girls also looked smashin'. Others from the Lemieux side included, Jason & Serena, Orrie, Robbie & girlfriend, as well as DeeDee & friend. Aunts & Uncles....Jean, Guy & Peggy, Henri & Colleen, Lucie & Clarence & Victor & Carmele. Kristen's dress was very simple. A mermaid style with lacey overlay & a very small veil...something like you would see on the old "pill-box" hats. Bridesmaids wore black.

Didn't get it.

I didn't get your text. I turned my phone off at the border. But I tried texting you from Houston and my phone doesn't let me....remember?

I was

I was wondering! I tried texting you during your trip but I guess either you didn't get it or I didn't get your reply.

Have fun in Calgary.

Final Destination

We made it to our final destination....for anyone who might be wondering!

HERE I AM!!!

Sorry, last night was a late night. Got to bed about 10:30, got up this morning at 4:30. Left from Wichita Falls, TX this morning. Driving for 14 hours brought us to our home for the night at Casper, Wyoming. We saw 4 states today. Part of Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Wyoming. Tomorrow we'll finish off Wyoming in the dark, then go through Montana, hit the border and then its the home stretch!!!

Anyways, 4:30am comes quick....to bed we go!!!

Night, Night.

Anybody know where Connie is?

Tx for the pic Mommer! I miss that tubby little Teva. She would love it here, just like Jeter does! She has her nightly ritual of hunting for bugs on the patio! She a quick little tracker and scarfing them down just a fast. The other night she brought a gecko in the house. Bad girl. Daddy scooped it back outside but not sure if it survived the punctures.

I did notice Cosmo had food on her face too! Hahahah... no wonder Teva is getting so close to her... yuuuuum!

Something I learned about geckos... they actually jump on people. I guess they try to hitch a ride somewhere. Thank god I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing that yet. But when Lincs mom was here one landed on her... in the house!!! I'm thankful it was her cause she has much more experience dealing with the creatures of the tropics than we do.

Gotta go do some website work. Making some reading material for brides that should answer all their questions, so I don't have to answer them a million times...

SUPPER?

LOL. Cosmo ALWAYS has a dirty face. That was just her cookie crumbs....why do you think Teva is sitting close to her? Ah, Kids!

Bday

Happy belated birthday, Lori! From KAB
How are things out there? I love the new lens....cool effect!! Nothing new here..just going on training Mon/Tues. Did a lot of paperwork this past weekend as Addy went out to ChurchBridge for the weekend. We also had a wedding on Sat night.
Well, I gotta run and do some training prep..
Later,
K.

Dirty Dawg.....

Mom, your dogs face is dirty! She still has supper in her beard!!!

CHECK-OUT THE FRIENDS

Can't say they are the BEST of friends, but they do get close to each other, usually by accident, but it does happen. Two minutes after this photo was taken a cat and dog fight ensued. The winner, COSMO! (probably cause she was sitting next to me). Anyways Teva seems to think she's Cosmo now. She sneaks in behind me when I'm sitting at the computer chair and sprawls out just like Cosmo.

Lincoln and Lori, I hope your looking at the creativity and composition. I'm sure your can't duplicate it.

New Lens

When Linc was back in Canada he bought us a new lens for our wedding shoots. There are special lenses that will let in more light so they are better to use at night and low light.

So, last night I looked down at the pool and noticed some ants hauling leaves along the edge of the pool. It looked cool cause I could actually see their silouettes from the patio. I decided to go down and practice with our new lens. Heres what I got:

Here is a view of our common area at night. Hard to believe we call this place home. Oh, notice that there is a light out along the right side of the path?? Peanut and I plowed that over with her leash the other day and busted it.... ooops.

tx

Thanks for the bday wishes everyone. Linc and I were going to go out with the neighbours to celebrate but they had to cancel due to lack of Babysitter. Dang kids! hahha. So, we went out and ate some delicious tacos at a new restaurant. 2 huge meals and beer for under 15 bucks. Not bad! Then we headed over to 5th avenue where all the shops were but it was pretty quiet cause the shops were mostly closed (cause it was late). Decided to walk the beach for a bit and take a peak at the Blue Parrot fire show and the full moon glisening off the ocean! It was perty!

Happy Anniversary to Kim and Bill too. And happy bday to Bill. Busy month!

To gift or not to gift

I say if there is any name pickin' going on it should be just between the people that will be seeing each other at xmas. Yes? No?

Xmas plans

I'm pretty sure that we'll be sticking around here. Gavin will most likely be working. Anyone or everyone is more than welcome to come here though. If everyone comes, then I think some of you will be sleeping on the floor...but thats okay....the roaches won't bite!! If we could decide what we're doing for Xmas ie) picking names or whatever that would be great, then I won't have to spend a bunch on shipping if I can bring gifts with me when we drive.....just a thought.

Ah... I wish

3 day drive! That would be awesome! For my next road trip I will look forward to it being ONLY 3 days! Although, if it is out of Mexico I would rather it be a 3 day flight. Aaaaaaa, now that would suck! Hahah.

I am looking forward to heading back to the real world at some point. Maybe xmas?? Houston or Canada? Any thoughts on Xmas from anyone?? Lemme know your plans. And if you don't have any yet.... then... lemme know your thoughts. Thanks. Right now we have 3 weeks off at xmas and I'm thinking it might stay that way. Possible trip in the works...
