Way to go!

Pretty good Auntie Connie. Is she using the seat or chair? Just make sure you take her when you go. When she's on, just run the tap. Unless she has pretty good control she'll go. So Addy is a mimic. She is amusing though? How's Regina? Have you spoken to your friend, Heather from I believe it was Raymore?

Little Miss Addyson

Well, well, well. The little missy is growing up so fast! She is repeating everything you say, so Bill better start to watch his potty mouth!! Since we're speaking of potties....thought I should mention that I was trying to potty train Addy. The little brat though is a little too smart. We had a couple accidents, and now she knows how to hold it....and she'll hold it, forever, and ever, and ever. So, I don't know what to do. She knows when she has to go, but just doesn't want to go on that pot!! Today we walked to the park, and on the way back little miss important was pushing her stroller with her baby in it. She was also wearing her purse and had her phone in there. We had to stop like 10 times so she could answer her phone. It was pretty funny. She basically mimics anything she sees or hears.

I'll have some pics and vids later, don't feel like downloading right now. Maybe her mommy will put some up one of these days!! :O)

Mexi news

Just an update on whats been happening since Lynda is here (Lincs Mom).

We had a wedding right before we were due to pick her up at the airport. So, shot the wedding, and went to pack our things in the van and vamos to the airport.... Sounds like an easy task... unless you've locked the keys in the van. Spend about 20 mins and had 3 Mexicans helping us break into the van. After many attempts with the coat hanger to try to grab the keys, pull the handle, or hook onto the locking mechanism... all of the sudden the interior light comes on as if a door had been opened.... Voila! One of them managed to get in the back door using a key! The resort washroom key, believe it or not. So, off we were to get Linda. Toured around the 3 airport terminals where not a sole could tell us where Copa Airlines landed. Finally pressed our luck with terminal #2 where eventually Lynda did show up. Sounded like her trip was just as exhausting, which started with the stench of cat pee on her suit case.

Well, glad thats over now. Excusions included another ball game in Cancun, visit to tia Terri (aunty Terri), walk on 5th Ave checking out shops, beach day at Mamitas beach (tryed out our new beach chairs, which are fabulous!).

Waiting in line at the car wash the other day I spotted a little doggie hunting for food in the garbage. She was soooo cute. She looked like a little bambi with her ears standing straight up. I wanted to bring her home. It's pretty sad to see. They are very scared of people. Not sure what they've all been through in their lives... but I don't think its been too enjoyable when it comes to people. I want to go look for her and bring her some food at least. Another dog was dropped off near our doggie day care. Someone dumped all their garbage on the side of the road along with their dog. Poor dog.

Thats it for now. Going to do some work. Adios.

Grandma

Just in case any of you are wondering how The Real Grandma looks these days, here she is:

Little Missy

Hey Con, your in for fun! While in Regina Addy has practiced mastering her skills at, if you look in her pan, Kraft Dinner. I think it's Grandpa's recipe. She'll keep you hopping. Loves to go down to the "Park". Just a few blocks away, but don't worry she knows the way and will direct you. She also gets very excited when passing the Boyz house. We were suppose to go camping with KAB, but while in WB, I put my back out...so we decided just to come home.

so excited

Yeah....I get to see miss b'Addy pretty soon!!! 8 days til i get there....9 til i see her! Cute little stinker!!

Gavin and I are going to a Cirque du Soleil performance tonight. There is a performance close to the house so we decided to get tickets! Hopefully its as good as the shows we saw in Vegas.

Finally I sold the Hummer for PJ. So, now thats out of my driveway....so nice now that its gone!!

I see the last house in our cul-de-sac finally sold....so I guess that means we'll be getting some new neighbors....everyone cross your fingers that they're not wierd like the ones on the other side of us! We've got a pretty good croud though in our neighborhood, so I can't really complain...yet.

Who could be a sucker...

Wouldn't you want this munchkin all day long?!

Sucker..

WHAT?! Connie is not a sucker!! Wouldn't you love to spend 2.5 glorious weeks babysitting your munchkin niece?! She is so sweet and such a good lil girl! Gma and Gpa were just here and she is yacking up a storm. Mom is probably quite happy that she says Grandma but now she also thinks that Papa is Grandma. She says it so clear....she is a good little chatterbox.

Oh, were you meaning that Alliance paperwork is why she is a sucker?! Oh, she just wants to exhibit to us how great her admin skills are and show us that there is lots of room for improvement!!

Well Connie, we cannot wait to see you. We are tired of Addy going into our computer room and saying "connie, connie" and pointing at the screen. Then, we dial up and no one is there. Addy always has this funny reaction to the Skype sound when no one answers. it is pretty funny. Ok, I need to get on taking some video and pics of our lil gal!!

Hi Family

Hi. Well, I just wanted to do some typing tonight so I thought I would update you all on what is happening down here. Nothing to exciting but... anyway....

Shot a wedding at Secrets Maroma last night. Its just 30 mins from our place, towards Cancun. Its super nice cause its adults only! Soooo nice and quiet! The couple was pretty shy but they ended up putting on a really fun party! They were all New York Italians. Good thick accents! So, I always so that we never really have a good idea of the couples real personalities until we see them dance!! We always think some of them will be kinda boring, sittin around, bla bla bloring... but then... once they break out the music... some of them turn into different people. We never really know someone UNTIL we see them dance!

The weddings are giving us some welcome social interaction with some engish speaking folks. I'm sure they are just as happy to have Canadians photographing there wedding as we are to be at their ENGLISH speaking wedding. Alomost feels like we are friends with these people by the end of the night.

The girl yesterday said to me... "I'm so glad to have you guys here. I've been stressing about most everything else from wedding, flowers, DJ,.... but not the photographers". So nice to know that we ease their minds when it comes to their photos. They even slipped us a tip last night! So unexpected but a very welcome 100 buckers!

We have another wedding on the 14th. Just the couple, no guests. Those are usually pretty low key and easy!

Other than weddings, I discovered tonight that folding laundry isn't so painful if you fold it out on the patio, in Mexico, around 6pm. Air is nice and even temp, and there was pretty much no wind tonight... super nice. Also BBQ'ing tonight. We have a stinkin' cheapo brickette thing. Its really difficult to control the cooking time on that thing. You never know if hot dogs will take 2 mins... or 12. Always a surprise.

Also, I must admit I'm slightly loosing track of my love handle issue. We did start going to the gym... but apparently it takes some time to see the effects. Our own condo gym is somewhat on its way to being completed. The builders agreed to supply a "well equiped" gym but it is turning out to be a bit of a nightmare. Its about a month late right now, only half of it is there, and what is installed is complete garbage and not put together properly... Enough said!?!? But, I shouldn't complain too much cause it is only about 30 steps to get to it. Eventually I'm sure we'll be purchasing some of our own equipment for the gym

Lincs mom is coming here for 3 weeks. Leaving one tropical destination for another. I think she will be pleasantly surprised at the advancements in this area compared to where she is at in the Dominican. Or maybe not.... She does read this blog though... so Hi Lynda... see you soon. We will probably do a few beach days, couple tours, and try out some new restaurants while she is here.

Let me know when any of you are planning to come to see my new home. I will be very excited to have some family visitors. But... I am sorry... I do not offer the same deal as Kimberly where you fly for free but pay for it while you are here... hahahahha... Connie is such a sucker!

Thats all for now.

Adios y muchas gracias por escucha!

not in Canada

Walking back to the van after grocery shopping we were surprised to find two Mexicans taking a break, sitting on our back bumper. They didn't even flinch when we disarmed the alarm. Ah, only in Mexico.

Beachin it

Well, I just thought I'd let you know that we went out to Katepwa this past weekend. Addy had a blast and was always looking for 'boyz, boyz'. She was referring to Berk, Rogan and Jax. They kept her so busy and I think that she was so excited to play with them that she didnt' want to sleep. The first morning, we were up at 4:15am!! Then, the other two days were 6:30. I can handle the last two. Naps were pretty good at 2 hours a piece. But, on the last day, she had a 2.5 hour nap, 1 hour nap on the way home, to bed by 9pm and then slept in until 10am the following day!!! do you think munchkin was tired?

Other than that, we spent time on the boat. It is a bit of a sleeping pill for Addy as you could tell it made her quite sleepy. She also spent 3 hours on the boat on Sat aft and didn't even put up a fuss! I can't say so much for the beach; she doesn't like the sand!

Not much else new. just waiting for Gma and Gpa to come to Regina. The lil Miss is counting down the sleeps til they get here!!

Happy Late Canada Day!!!

Matt and I went to the Maple Leaf Lounge yesterday....it was short lived because it was so crouded.....but we tried. We were both wearing our Canada gear yesterday. We ended up going to Hard Rock Cafe for supper then out for a few games of bowling.....which I of course walked away with bragging rights.....Thank you very much!

Saturday is Independence Day....its a pretty big celebration here. Hopefully we can find some free fireworks....I'm pretty sure we will since you're allowed to pop 'em (as my pest control guy would say) in the county...just not the city.

Glad to see the math adds up.

Happy Canada Day!!
