Worse Luck
Today I took Dad's truck to work cause he was takin' my truck in for an oil, fueling it up, car wash......you know the run before a person goes on a road trip. Yeah well, after the oil change everything went downhill and FAST. Drove about 3 blocks and the truck just died in the middle of traffic. Thank goodness he was driving cause I don't know if I would of been able to control it. Tries to start it and it won't even turn over, let alone run. Opens the hood and thank goodness there isn't oil splattered all over....I'm sure you'll all heard the story of techs forgetting to replace the oil cap....Pulls the dip stick out and voila, the problem is solved. Not a drop of oil, not a single drop! Dad walks down to the dealership and tells them his delemma and they look at the invoice and tell him yes you have 5 litres of oil it says so right here. Anyways not to sound too long winded, Davis' came out , checked the oil and guess what....not a single droplet of oil. Needless to say they had the flatdeck tow truck come out and haul it in. They did some checks, took it down the highway to Elkwater and are now having the oil analyzed. The cost to me so far, 50 bucks for an oil change, fuel to chase down the highway and possibly an engine. Am I happy? Not at all!. I think GM is getting a visit in the morning. Oh, by the way, did I mention I'm now on holidays and the start isn't great.
