Addyson's First Word

I could hear it......Grrrrr-Mamama. You just have to listen very carefully. Kim didn't even catch it. That's my Addy.

Clear the aisles, here comes the winner for the 2 minute shopping spree!! Kim, sure is quite the loot you hauled in. Can hardly wait for the next time we're in Regina. Bet you never thought you'd rake in $926 bucks worth. Congratulations!

Shopping Spree

Ha, Lori did I get your attention yet? Since you are ignoring all my posts to the blog, I thought I'd try this subject. Just wanted to show ya'll the loot that we took in on Saturday. I won a 2 minute shopping spree as my name was drawn in the Regina NeoNatal Fundraiser. Max I could take home in 2 min spree was $1000; I came up a bit short at $925! That was one of the highest totals they've gotten to date.

Part 2 - The Rollover

Addy really rolls better than this but when I try to video tape her, she is more interested in looking at the camera. Check it out!

My first words

Well, it finally happened on Wed 26th! Addy said her first word...and we're all wondering who had a smile on their face....was it Mommy? Daddy? Gma? Gpa? Stay tuned....

Thanks

Thanks to all of you who remembered my birthday. Your father quite surprised me by getting chocolate, flowers and a card. He even got them the day before so it would be unexpected and trust me, I was surpirsed (thought he had mixed up the dates). I'm off this week-end so I guess we'll go shopping. Doing taxes this afternoon and possibly some house-cleaning so I'll have tomorrow to myself. That's all for now. Have a great day!

Addy, Addy!!!

Shall we take this as Addyson's first word..."NO". Ah, Mom and Dad you are in for fun. She can't even talk yet and it's no. Doesn't matter, she's still our little cutie pie. Keep the videos coming.

Connie, how did the Great White Hunter do with the racoon? Is Dad getting his Davey Crockett hat?

Lori was here this week-end. Was Omer's 61st birthday.

Rebel against the 'rents

The other day baby Addy learned her first expression (well this is more of a setup than anything as I don't think she actually knows what she is doing). She is starting the opposite of what her parents say already!

Congrats!

Congrats on the new place Con and Gav. Feels good hey?

As for cooking on high... I think there is something wrong with my smoke detector. I've been cooking here for a whole week and the smoke detector hasn't gone off once. Hmmm... better get it checked. Thats why you have to set it off every once in a while. Gotta make sure its still working!

Done Deal!!

Well, all is done. Everything at the Title Company went well today. We picked up the keys to the house, brought a load of stuff over, and did a little dance!! We're getting there....movers are coming at 8 in the morning tomorrow and we have other deliveries coming tomorrow too (like fridge, washer, dryer, and media chairs). Should make for a long day!! Oh well, it could be worse....we could be doing the moving. Apparently we just have to mark off numbers when people walk in with boxes and stuff. More deliveries on Sunday, and some mega unpacking. I guess I'm gonna have to learn how to use a gas stove. Cook on high, right Lor?

Anyways, I'll keep ya'll updated with any new developments!

PS Kim, I drove by the mall....don't worry, I'm pretty sure it will be good to go for March 27 as the expected open date. I'm gonna be in line that day!! God I'm a nerd!

Love Connie, Gavin and Sisqo

Done!

Money is at the Lawyers office! We no longer own a place in Copperfield! Whoohooo! Their walk through is at 11:00.

One big thing I've noticed about being in my new place... Is that I've been making suppers again! Its been a long long time since I've had time for that (and this week has been busy)! So nice.

Great Place

Sounds like Lori's loving the new pad. I'm anxious to see pics of everything unpacked and in its real home. Let's see, anything under 2 years would be a record (cause I know some items at the other place never did find a home). Must admit the sectional against the red wall looks great. I think a little black would bring it all together. Perhaps the black could be a cat named Jeter, then the place would always look different.

This week we're getting to spoil Addyson. I get to spend time in the early morning and after supper with baby. Grandpa gets to share the rest with Kim and Addyson. Too bad I have to work this week, but this arrangement is working well anyways.

Update from inner city living:

Well, got up at 7:45ish this morning, an hour later than usual. I think my commute was about 5 minutes. I didn't time it, but it was FAST! I have to work out a smarter route through the 4 traffic lights. Dang pedestrians are holding me up. So, I think if I cross to the other side, where theres no pedestrians, I should be able to shave it down to about 3 minutes.

Tonight, I have dodgeball at 7:30. Normally, I'd be kicking around downtown, killing about... oh.... 3 hours... just because there was really no point in going home first. So, tonight will be my first experience at going home... eating supper... chillaxing... then going to dodgeball about 15 minutes before start time! So exciting!

Looks sweet

Well Lori, I must say this will be a bit of an adjustment for you! But, that place looks really nice. I like the Windows.
Addy and I came up to Med Hat Mon - Fri but I only managed to be here an hour before I started barfing my brains out. Happy flu to Gma and Gpa! Well, I am feeling better today but I just hope no one else gets it! Billy is away in Memphis for a tour of th air conditioning plant and he'll be back on Thursday.

Other than that, nothing much new. I think Dad and I will head out this aft for a bit on this BEAUTIFUL afternoon!

Aaaaah

First morning in my new place:
Just got up, walked a couple steps to my bathroom, then another couple more steps to the living room to my computer. I can pretty much see every corner of my place from just about anywhere. Being in this small area kinda feels like... oh... standing in Connies new bedroom. I think its about the same size! Thats ok tho! Cause I'm just so happy to be sooooo close to work. I'll have to test out my bike ride. I think it should be... oh... 5 minutes.

I must say it IS tight in here. It will get better once i sort thru my stuff, put some down in storage and put the rest away. But, the sun light in this place is great! woke up to my floor to ceiling windows, staring at the clear blue sky.

Sunday night
brought Jeter over. She meowed the whole way. People in the elevator must have thought she just came from the vet or something... She was howlin'! She also meowed her whole first night here. Bugger. We'll have to see how tonight goes... quieter I hope.

Monday morning:
Walked across the street for Tim Hortons! That's so great to throw on flip flops, not have to drive anywhere... and boom! Tim Hortons, Subway, and Macs store waiting to serve me! I hope I don't get into some bad habits of "making" Macs suppers too often!

Monday night:
Unpacking is going well. Still have 3 boxes and a couple trips to the storage room, but... its starting to look like home. Got the fish out of the pail finally, they seem to be doing well back in the aquarium.

Next steps will be closet organizer (or hooks/shelves... something) and hanging pictures.

All in all I am really loving my new place. I actually really like that anything I need is only steps away. I for sure LOVE the south facing, huge balcony and views.

Here's a tour:

And a couple pics:

Sore Back!

Yeah well, we got up at 5:30 am to make it to Calgary for 9:00. We brought the trailer so we helped move. Lori treated us to Montana's on our way to her new place. Good things for elevators, 18 floors would be a little much. Everything went well, I think. Lori has a very nice suite. I'm sure she will be happy. It's nice and cozy and feels like home already. We missed out on the beer though....maybe next time!

Time change was last nite. Dad thought we should get up early and go to church. Found out the real reason was cause he wanted to watch some hockey game. Was trying to figure out what to do this afternoon when we were looking to see where we could put the little deepfreeze we got from Lori. Opened our big one up and voila....I asked Dad what the reason for water to be streaming from the lid. I thought he had unplugged it or something just cause we were going to switch them out. Your not going to believe this, but our big one decided to quite working. The good thing about all this is we know exacting what's happening to the oldie. Now we're waiting for Kimberly and Addy. Can't wait!!!!

Hours...

My count down is now in HOURS! I don't have a definite time for keys pickup... Realtor/Lawyer/Banks have been telling me the release usually happens around lunch! So, I guess that means... ONE hour to go!

As soon as I get the keys I'll be heading over to check it out!! Then I may leave work early today to get a head start with cleaning! hahhaa, bet you never thought you'd here me say that! After that I'll be heading home to do my last minute packing and for one last sleep in my old Home! I guess I'll stay there, seeing as thats where my bed will be.

So, excited! See you soon M and D! Tx for helping... again. Kids hey? Is there every a time when they stop needing their mom and dad??? hahaha!!

Hello Everyone

Quite a surprise signing on and seeing Darin posting a blog. Well, we know he can type so maybe he'll keep us in the loop. HaHa, Baby Addyson always makes me laugh when I see her. I'm just trying to figure out what is soooo funny to her. Looks like we're heading to Calgary early Saturday morning. I'm sure I'll be sleeping halfway there. Second time going to Calgary in a week.
Dad got a call from Ruth today. Looks like we're leaving a day earlier. I wonder if that means we're staying a day longer. Any body know?

Camping

Since Dar is already off on Fridays then we should take friday as our extra day off (for those of us that have that option). As for that weekend... I have nothing planned for the summer yet.... Just stampede! So, works for me! And I'll take that Friday off once we all agree on a weekend.

Last year, our family camping trip was the ONLY camping I did. Thats not right! Better do more this year. Oh, and yeah.... just two sites sounds good to me. Same setup as usual. Tx 4 organizing this year Kim!

Ps... only 2 more days! Friday is possession and cleaning day. Saturday I have my moving crew coming over. Then we have a week to clean at the old place. Thats it! Whoohoo!

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

Well Kimmer, I will just tell you that right now I get Friday and Saturday off. So maybe I can switch some stuff around, but that is all i know.

Good to see

Well, good to see lil bro posting to the blog. Thanks for your update....umm...did you find a place to crash yet besides your vehicle. Guess it is a good thing that summer is near!

Just wanting to take a vote for the family camping weekend. I was thinking June 21/22 weekend. It is the one after Father's Day. Does that work with everyone? Con, I am guessing that you will just virtually connect to the campsite via pictures at the blog at a later date and won't be making the trek from Houston??? I'd like to book the sites right away so let's get voting.

Here is a pic of baby Addy asking you all to come and see her then!

BTW, sometimes we take an extra day or two off at this time. Any votes for the Friday or Monday around this same weekend?

Later,

Kim'r and Addy

Well it has come to my attention that the house I am living in has been sold. Therefore, I am planning on living in my car for next few months. Well maybe not, but I will let you know where I end up. Hopefully Kimmer can find me a computer, or else I wont ever write on this blog, cuz I write on it soo much to begin with.

Well Con I guess that house might be good enough for my little monster? And the GAVINATOR? lol. Oh ya, next time you see that John Deere golf cart thing. STEAL IT.. I want it.

I best be on my way. Till next time this is everyones little bro signing off.

Chow

Just what you've all been waiting for!!!

HOUSE PICS!!!!

The inspection went relatively well. A few things that need to be addressed, mostly the grading of the yard, other than that its all just small things.

And here are a few pics of the house from today.....the countdown is on!!!

Inspection Day

Today is inspection day.....of course it is, it looks like its gonna rain! Hopefully all goes well today. Well, I hope he finds something wrong, that way I know he actually knows what he's talking about!! Then Friday is our first walkthru.
